How do I claim the Québec tax credit for children’s activities?
by TurboTax• Updated 1 week ago
The Québec tax credit for children’s activities is available to parents who paid to register their child in an eligible physical, artistic, cultural, or recreational activity. Your family income must be less than $142,686 to qualify for tax year 2021.
The participating child must have been between six and 18 years old at the end of the year. You can claim up to $500 in eligible fees per child, resulting in a maximum refundable credit of $100 for each child.
Children with a disability are eligible between the ages of six and 20. If their eligible fees are $125 or more, you can add $500 to the fee amount. The total can’t exceed $1,000 for each child, for a maximum credit of $200 per child.
