efile status

I efiled a return with cra and got a confirmation number. But when I log back into turbotax it still gives the option to file. How do I know if it has been received by cra? Should I file it again?

To check the status of your tax return, please follow these instructions:

  1. Submit your return through TurboTax using the CRA’s NETFILE service or by mail. Note: If you successfully submit your return using NETFILE, TurboTax displays your CRA confirmation number
  2. Register for the CRA’s My Account service, if you haven't already
  3. Sign in to your CRA My Account
  4. The status of your tax return is displayed in the Tax returns section

Important: Contact the CRA and ask them to place a trace on your return if all of the following apply to you:

  • You've confirmed that you have a valid NETFILE confirmation number
  • Your CRA My Account doesn't reflect that your return was received or assessed
  • It has been more than 10 business days since you submitted your return

@DBMorton Did you get a NETFILE confirmation number? If not, then your return was not filed successfully.

 

If you did get a confirmation number, please see @ Raman1 's answer above.

I did my tax return with your company on April 4th or 5th, 2024 and I checked with CRA yesterday April 30th and they haven't received it.

I did file as I said and the payment is showing on my Credit card statement
