Married. You are still married even if your spouse is not in Canada. You can use 000 000 000 for your spouse if they don't have a SIN number.

What is the resident status or your common-law living outside of Canada. Have they ever lived in Canada?

You will need to contact the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) to clarify residency status and your next steps to take with your returns. Please call them at 1-800-959-8281.
