When asked to report the rent for 2022 paid for the Ontario trillium Benefit, I forgot to deduct the amount my roommate paid to me (she’d transferred me her share for her room and I wrote cheques in my name to submit to landlord) and just submitted the amount on the rent receipt my land lord sent me. The end result is a overstated how much I paid in rent my several thousand dollars.
I feel sick. what can I do to fix this? My turbo tax return for 2022 is not showing up otherwise i would try to refill.
Are you using TurboTax Online or TurboTax Download? Did you receive your confirmation number to indicate you already Netfiled? There are other ways to view your return and make adjustments if you have a Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) My Account.
