One of my dependant children earned money last year and I included this amount, along with his SIN, on my return. Do I have to file a separate return for him?

Yes. Anyone who earned income should file a tax return.

Your dependant's income (from line 236 of their return) is entered on your return to any dependants you qualify for can be properly calculated.
