Filed last week and still have a balance due
I filed my return last Thursday and elected to pay my large balance due using direct debit from my checking account.
I selected a withdrawal date for Friday and my return has been accepted. However, the funds haven't been withdrawn by the IRS.
Should I be concerned, and if so, what should I do?

No, don't be concerned. This time of year the IRS is very busy, even though they haven't deducted the payment on the date you gave them, you are fine since you filed on time.
To verify the date that Federal funds will be withdrawn from your account, confirm that funds have been transferred, or cancel the transaction up to 48 hours before the date you designated the funds to be debited, call the IRS at 1 (888) 353-4537.
When will my tax payment go through?
