I just filed my sisters 23 taxes and her last name came up incorrect...I must've inputted her maiden name instead of her legal name. Should we leave it be and hope it goes through or will we have to change and refile so all is right? Thanks.
When you say it came up incorrect, do you mean that you weren't able to NetFile?
I was able to file...on the "Great news" confirmation page is where I noticed the last name was wrong in the "return transmitted for" area...further down is a message stating "Message from CRA...CRA response code 80" the name is correct.
If you received a confirmation number that the return was filed, I wouldn't change anything. You can perhaps call the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) to confirm that all the information is ok in the file at
1-800-959-8281.
