I am trying to fill my wife's and my tax return together, I made a mistake and answered "no" to that question at the start, is there a way to re-answer that question?

I am talking about the question "Do you want to prepare your returns together?", since I was importing the data from 2015 I wrongly assumed I did not have to change much. Now that question shows up disabled...

I know I can re-start the whole thing, but I already spent a lot of time entering my return and I only noticed my mistake at the very end.

Unfortunately, due to the complexity of calculations related to marital status, once you've moved past this section, you can't go back and edit it. If you've already moved past this section, you'll have to start a new return.
