Two of the main conditions to be eligible for the full Canada Child Benefit are:

- You must live with the child, and the child must be under 18 years of age.

- You must be the person primarily responsible for the care and upbringing of the child.

If you have shared custody, you may be able to split the benefit with the other parent.

It would probably be best to contact the CRA if you are still unsure on whether you are eligible for the benefit: https://turbotax.community.intuit.ca/replies/2647704

Here is the CRA’s page describing the Canada Child Benefit.
