How do I claim the Yukon children's fitness tax credit?
by TurboTax•12• Updated 3 days ago
The Yukon fitness tax credit is available to parents of children who were enrolled in a prescribed program. Eligible costs include registration and membership for sports-related programs, up to $1,000 per eligible child for the 2025 tax year.Â
To qualify for the credit, your child must have been:
- Under 16 at the start of the tax year in which the fees were paid
- Under 18 if they’re eligible for the Disability Tax Credit (DTC).
An additional $500 can be claimed for children with a disability, provided a minimum of $100 of the costs were incurred for membership or registration fees.
For more information, visit Yukon benefits for individuals and families.
