Hi, I read that there is a credit for first time home buyers thats up to $5000. How do i go about filing for this?

Claim the First Time Home Buyer's Amount in the Profile section of your return.

Click the Setting Up tab of your return, then (your name) Profile from the menu that opens below.

Click Revisit beside the Home and Other Property option.

Answer Yes to the question "did you buy a home, condo, apartment or mobile home this year? Check Yes to determine if you qualify for the first-time home buyers amount." and answer the questions that follow to determine if you are eligible for the credit.
