We appreciate you choosing TurboTax,

Children's Arts amount

For fees paid in 2020 relating to registration or membership for your (or your spouse's or common-law partner's) child in a prescribed artistic, cultural, recreational, or developmental program, you are entitled to claim up to $500 per child.

A child must have been under 16 years old (or under 18 years old if eligible for the disability tax credit on line 58440 of Form YT428) at the beginning of the year the eligible arts expense was paid.

This amount may be claimed if no other party has already claimed the same fees, and the total amount claimed is not more than the maximum allowable amount if only one party claimed the fees.

CRA: Yukon Information Guide

However, we need more information from you in order to guide you correctly, for example

  1. How old is your child?
  2. His eligibility?
  3. Eligibility of expenses?
  4. Has anyone claimed the amount?
