I want to transfer all of my DTC to my spouse. I am filing separately. How do I do this?
Once you complete your return and your spouses does theirs-Make sure they enter you as a dependent. Then in the Deduction section continue until you get to - Claims for Dependants-Would you like to review or claim any of these credits? Click on "Yes" continue and it will show you the disability tax credit. Whatever amount you did not need on your return to make the balance zero is what will be transferred over.
