If I sell my principal residence in one city and move to another city and buy a new principal residence do I need to fill out the Principal Residence part on taxes?

I sold one home and then bought another. It is my principal residence. Do I have to fill out this information on my tax return?

You only have to fill out the Principal Residence for the sale of the first home. You only have to report the sale, not the buying part.
