Should I remove my child that is now over 18 from my dependant

my son is over 18 and filed his own taxes I know he is no longer considered a dependent I can not figure out how to remove him

If you transferred your information from last year into this year's tax return, it is possibly why it is not allowing you to remove it. You will need to start a new return without transferring last year's information.
