Family Tax Credit

A deceased person's taxes can't be "linked" thru Turbo-Tax (forced to do separate upon starting file).

Yet the Family Tax Credit Schedule 1A must be "linked".

How do I input data to Schedule 1A in TurboTax for above scenario????

Family Tax Credit

The Schedule 1A does not need to be linked to the other person's return, but you do need to account for the spousal income in the deceased return.

You can claim the Family Tax Cut on the deceased spouse's return, just don't claim it on your return as well.

PS the above is for a spousal situation where deceased earned 100k income, surviving spouse had  only 5k income.
