Why is there a medical deduction showing up on my summary yet I didn't enter any medical receipts?

The most common reasons you will see a Medical Expense deduction on your tax return, yet haven't entered any Medical Expenses are:

• You have a T4 slip with an amount in Box 85 for Private Health Service Premiums.
• You have a T4A slip with an amount in Box 135 for Private Health Service Premiums.

These amounts will carry over to the Medical Expense section of TurboTax and be added to any other expenses you manually add.
