Another Moving Expense Question

This is my first time filing my own taxes and I'm wondering about the moving expenses. I moved from AB to BC in September 2020 and was offered a position in December 2020. However, I did not start receiving income from my new job until February 2021 because the office was still under construction. Would I still be able to claim my moving expenses? I noted that one of the eligibility criteria was that you earn income in the year you move. Given my circumstances that wasn't possible.

You said that you moved in September but didn’t get offered the position until December. So, unfortunately, you can’t claim moving expenses because you didn’t get the job until after you moved.
