in Filing
I've been using TT desktop for over 10 years. I use the STANDARD version, as I only do my and my wife's returns, but I need the carry-forwards for capital gains, medical deductions, and charitable contributions. After hours of trying to get some clarity from TT folks, it appears that the "STANDARD" version for 2024 tax-year filing is no longer "standard". To get the same functionality, it appears I now have to buy the PREMIUM version.
Can anyone perhaps clarify if the carry-forwards still exist in the STANDARD version? I couldn't care less about TT "help" and "recommendations", but I do need the carry-forwards. And being a pensioner, I don't want to pay triple the price for the same old functionality.
Thanks in advance!
While we recommend Premier if you have Capital Gains, all version of TurboTax Desktop have the same forms. The difference is the amount of guidance that you see in EasyStep mode.
