A Property Ownership Civil Lawsuit in Canada - My wife and I are Canadian, but residents of the US. We have been filing our taxes in the US using TurboTax desktop version. We were the plaintiffs in a civil lawsuit in Ontario Canada, to evict the defendants who were renting our townhouse. The defendants owed us monies funds we loaned to them over a decade or so. They also agreed to pay monthly rent. They never paid any rent. A couple of year later, when we served an eviction notice, the defendants claimed, that they paid for the property with their own funds and we were holding it in trust for them.

My specific questions are:
I am sorry for the long questions. I look forward to your guidance and responses to my above questions. Thank you so very much for your time.
No, TurboTax doesn't have any cross borders services, though you can use TurboTax Canada as a non-resident.
You can ask questions about US taxes on the US TurboTax Community: https://ttlc.intuit.com/turbotax-support/en-us/
We would recommend contacting the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) to see how you need to report this disposition of property.
If you are in Canada or the United States, you can call the CRA at 1-800-959-8281. If you are elsewhere, you can call 613-940-8495. This page has more ways to contact the CRA: Contact the Canada Revenue Agency
