How would I send tuition amount to my parents living outside of Canada

Hello,

I'd like to transfer tuition (from universities in Canada) to my parents but I just don't know how it will work since my parents are not living in Canada. I haven't seen any questions regarding this on my Turbotax tax filing page. Will there be further instruction from CRA on how to do it?

You can only transfer tuition to someone who is also submitting a tax return here in Canada. The tuition credit can only be used to reduce your taxes payable, so if your parents don’t owe taxes in Canada, they wouldn’t be able to use the credit, even if they lived here.
