Locked Forms

Hi there,

I went to file my return and at the end I was told that the form I would need is locked and isn't available currently. The form I would need is a T1198, however, I see that as of Feb 2025, you are able to file this electronically. Wondering when this form is going to be available? I'm pretty upset after paying for the deluxe version, that I am now unable to file my taxes. due to an error on TurboTax's end...this should have been expressed PRIOR to me purchasing the program.

What is the estimated time frame that the t1198 form will be unlocked?  Will you send a message to me when it is unlocked so that I can file my  return?  I am pretty ticked off that you wait until after a customer has paid to relay the info that you cant file a return.  Very underhanded.

@bitingcat23 We do not have any ETA on this yet but as soon a these forms gets finalize we will be updating them in TurboTax.

I am waiting for form T1198E jut check mar 4 2025 and still not available  😪

T1198 is still locked by CRA & RQ and not finalized by yet. Please refer to this link Why does TurboTax say my forms are locked or haven't been finalized? 

We do not have any ETA on this yet but as soon a these forms gets finalize we will be updating them in TurboTax for an accurate calculations.

We have been using Turbo Tax for 10 years because it is FAST...not this year...first time for this. Locked forms...ETA on an up date?

Pretty under handed that you collect payment then say come back later. We could pen bomb this and mail it faster...I feel. a revaluation coming on for future use.

I've been using TurboTax for over a decade. It's very sneaky to collect payment and subsequently lock my return so I can't file because you don't have the forms updated. If I had known this before I paid I would have looked elsewhere, but of course you know this. Shameful to charge full price for this service.

I was able to file last night. Clear your “cashe” in your browser and maybe it will work for you as well.
