Marital status after reconciliation

Living common law with a child, then separated for more than one year. Have now reconciled, how long before, we claim living common law again. Is it 12 months, or immediately because we have a child together.

Marital status after reconciliation

Immediately because you have a child.

However, because part of the tax year you were single with a dependant, you still can choose to claim either the eligible dependant amount or the spousal amount whichever is more beneficial to your tax situation.
