Question in regards to Household Income

Hello,

I have a question in regards to household income.

I am a 28 year old living with my parents. I am employed and earn income.

Am I considered part of my parent's household or am I my own separate household?

I also work from home. Can I claim any home office expense such as my parent's property tax? Even though I pay it on their behalf.

Thanks

Question in regards to Household Income

We appreciate you choosing TurboTax,

Household income is the total amount of money earned by each member of a household. Wages, salaries, investment returns, retirement accounts, and welfare payments are all sources of household income.
In other words, if you live in the same house, all of your income will be considered household income.
