I am unable to file using NETFILE because CRA records indicate I'm not filing for the first time... How can I go back in the turbotax software and change that?

I have never filed with Turbo Tax before so when they asked if I had ever filed before I indicated no that "I" had not (It was always my ex partner). So I misunderstood the context of the question and now I am unable to go back to the very beginning when it asks that question.

You will open your return and go to My Info- (Your name) Canadian Citizenship. Here you will find the question "Are you filing an income tax return with the CRA for the first time?" You will answer "No". Click on continue to save and then you can go back to the left side of the screen and scroll down and click on "File".

Thank you for choosing TurboTax.

@usere2b312e0 Error code 32 from is CRA could be for these reasons There is a social insurance number (SIN) on line 55295 on the Schedule 5 and one of the following situations applies to your client’s return:

  1. The dependent's SIN is not valid.
  2. The dependent's SIN and your client’s or their spouse’s or common-law partner’s SIN are the same

Please check if that applies to her. Also, If this is her first time filing with CRA and CRA doesn't have any information for her, she might not be eligible to Netfile. You have to choose an option to Print to Mail in TurboTax and mail out her return to CRA - Where to mail your paper T1 return.
