I need help adjusting the form because the CRA said that the form is being submitted as if it were my first time. Because of that it won't let me submit it.

How can I change the form so it is a continual submission not as if I were filing for the first time?

I need help adjusting the form because the CRA said that the form is being submitted as if it were my first time. Because of that it won't let me submit it.

To clarify, you cannot use Netfile because it rejects you as a first-time filer.

Check the Personal Info section: In the left-hand menu, look for Setting Up or Introduction.

Look for the following question: "Are you filing your first income tax return with the CRA?"

Change it to "No."

Make sure you haven't accidentally entered a Date of Entry to Canada for the year 2025, as this will also trigger the "first-time" logic.

Save and Re-run the Review: After changing this to "No," return to the Review tab and repeat the final check before hitting Netfile.
