Inuit is now owned by a US company, from what I understand. As for the Capital Gains issue at the CRA, we can thank our on, and then off, gov't plan to change the tax rules around Capital Gains. This I'm guessing is what is causing this delay at the CRA as they got caught in the middle of those proposed tax rule changes that gov't was making but never materialized because the Liberals have shut down Parliament while they change leadership.
These forms are still locked by CRA & RQ and not finalized by yet. Please refer to this link Why does TurboTax say my forms are locked or haven't been finalized?
We do not have any ETA on this yet but as soon a these forms gets finalize we will be updating them in TurboTax.
We appreciate your patience.
Has this been resolved, it's been 3 weeks since i've been wanting to send in my taxes!
Not yet, still wait for government's finalizing the forms.
From what I have read, the government changed the forms , and they are available but some software providers are struggling to keep up to date . Is this true ?
it seems it, because multiple people are saying here they know others who have successfully filed with other technology.
CRA website indicates they are not updating their forms so I'm not sure of the issue with Turbotax. You need to open Netfile so people can submit their taxes.
@Steven2951 Thanks for the feedback. These forms are still locked by CRA & RQ and not finalized yet. Please refer to this link Why does TurboTax say my forms are locked or haven't been finalized?

Seems like a turbo tax issue .
read online :
many users have reported that TurboTax is currently preventing them from filing their 2024 tax returns due to Schedule 3 being “locked”
While the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has finalized and released Schedule 3 for the 2024 tax year as of February 10, 2025, TurboTax has not yet updated its software to reflect these changes. As a result, TurboTax users are experiencing issues when attempting to file returns that include Schedule 3.
TurboTax has acknowledged this issue and stated that they are working to update their software to incorporate the finalized forms. However, they have not provided a specific timeline for when this update will be available.
In the meantime, some users have reported success with alternative tax preparation software that has already integrated the updated Schedule 3.
It's advisable to monitor TurboTax's community forums and official communications for updates on this issue. If timely filing is a priority, exploring other certified tax preparation options may be beneficial.
Turbo keeps saying that CRA has not updated the forms yet. Well, then how is it possible that people using other tax return software are able to file their returns, even when using a Schedule 3?
Like many other users, this will be my last year using Turbo Tax. I've used TT for about 15 years but will no longer take the chance and hope it's updated and works. I won't spend money for an unfinished product again.
This is the last time i use TurboTax, after 25 years they failed me and many of the people who paid money to file their taxes on time and get quick refunds. I'll pay for a license of UFILE and get it completed from them.
