Activation key for TurboTax 2024

I installed and used the 2024 version. I opened the software and it prompted me to update it. It was my mistake. I can't use it anymore. I misplaced my license key. 

However, it says the license is active.

Since when does updating the software require entering the key? It was no problem in the past

Getting started

Please try the following

  • Goto C:\ProgramData\Intuit Canada and check for umid file
  • If umid file exists then open a file "C:\ProgramData\Intuit Canada\tt2024\TTConfig.ini" and enter UseCustomUMID=1 at the end of file
  • Close and save TTConfig.ini
  • Restart the TurboTax application
