Box 13 is in the left column on the T5 screen. Indicate the type of interest on the line named Source of Box 13 Interest in the column to the right.

I am preparing a joint tax return. I submitted my tax return without issues. I am trying to submit my wife's return and get some error messages or incorrect data showing. #1. I entered bank interest in box 13 of of the T5 slip. Instead of showing this as interest income, the summary page shows the amount under Carrying chaarges, support and others . #2. We are not disabled and I have indicated such at the beginning of the return. Later in the return is indicates my wife is disabled. #3. We are not splitting income. Again the page gives us an error message: "Fill out the required information below to calculate your tax on split income." How do i fix these problems, especially problem #1? Do I have to start a new return and how does this merge with my return that has been filed We are retired and split pension income. Thanks, Terry
