How to send declaration of TP-1079.8.BE-V to RQ
Hi,
I just want to confirm that Turbotax does send the TP-1079.8.BE-V for those living in Quebec.
Since, at the end of the menu to file, it only mentions the following:
Your T1135: Foreign Income Verification Statement
Submit your foreign income verification statement to CRA.
By submitting the T1135 to CRA, will it simultaneously send the TP-1079.8.BE-V to RQ?
If so, maybe the wording could be different and also mention RQ for Qc residents.

Yes, TurboTax for Quebec residents generates and files the TP-1079.8.BE-V form for Revenu Québec (RQ), as well as the T1135 for the CRA, when foreign property exceeds $100,000. While the final filing summary occasionally mentions the T1135, it frequently serves as an umbrella, submitting the necessary provincial equivalent to RQ, as Québec requires both forms for compliance.
When you complete the Foreign Income section, TurboTax asks questions to populate both forms. The T1135 is for the federal government, while the TP-1079.8. BE-V is specifically for Revenue Quebec.
The wording can be confusing, but the software generally prepares both, particularly because in QC, you must file a separate TP1 provincial return.
To be safe, navigate to the final "Print Centre" or "Tax Summary" in TurboTax before filing. Look for both the federal T1135 and the Quebec TP-1079.8.BE-V in the list of documents to be transmitted.
Both forms are due by the same date as your tax return (April 30 or June 15 for businesses)

When I look at the detailed forms, I do see the same data in the TP-1079.8.BE-V form as from the T1135. Is it because that at the end, when you file for Federal, you need to file your T1 and declare the T1135 separately. Meanwhile when you file for Quebec, the TP-1079.8.BE-V is already include in the TP-1?

Yes, your understanding is correct. The reason you see the same data (such as specified foreign property, income, and gains) in both forms is that they serve the same purpose for different tax authorities, and tax software often populates them simultaneously to avoid duplicate data entry.

Great!
Can you confirm that at the end when we File/Netfile, I only see:
Your Federal return
Your T1135: Foreign Income Verification Statement
Your Québec return
Is it normal that there is no option such as Your TP-1079.8.BE-V :Foreign Income Verification Statement under Your Québec return like the T1135? Is it because it is already sent when you file your Quebec return?
