I'm trying help a friend whos a newcomer to netfile and get an error
I get this error when I try to netfile:

Troubleshooting
The error means the residency status and arrival date are not matching properly in the software. Even though you entered the arrival date and foreign income, the program may not be officially marking the person as an “immigrant.” That’s why CRA is rejecting it. Make sure that the residency status is correct.

Thats what I figured. I check ed it the easystep method and the forms method and all is correct but I think its a bug in turbtotax itself. When I use another program it will netfile with no problem. But I always prefer turbo tax but maybe its time to switch to the other program. Thanks

Just wondeering if the bug in the program as been corrected in regards to newcomers and their date of arrival and funds made before entering Canada has been corrected? I just tried another newcomer and getting the same error. I have checked the dates and etc using the easystep method as well as the forms method. And this is the error from CRA when trying to Netfile:
