Troubleshooting

Even with iOS 16, TurboTax often requires the dedicated TurboTax Mobile App instead of a browser, or it may require you to enable "Desktop Site" in Safari. If you are using a browser, it may not meet the updated security requirements (e.g., Safari 16+ or Chrome 131+).

 

Try these troubleshooting steps:

  • Download and use the official TurboTax app from the App Store instead of a browser, as browser versions frequently fail on mobile.
  • To bypass mobile restrictions in Safari, tap "aA" in the address bar and select "Request Desktop Website."
  • Ensure Safari is fully updated via iOS Settings. Clear your browser cache and cookies, as old data can trigger "unsupported browser" errors.
  • If Safari fails, try using Chrome or Firefox, but ensure they are updated.
