Troubleshooting
If the Detailed Tax Summary is showing $0 for last year, it means your 2024 data file wasn't successfully linked or transferred when you started your 2025 return. In TurboTax Desktop, this transfer happens at the very beginning and usually cannot be "added" to a return that is already in progress.
Since you can't easily import 2024 data into an active 2025 file, the most reliable fix is to start a fresh return for this specific year:
Go to the File menu at the top and select New Tax Return.
TurboTax should immediately ask if you want to transfer your 2024 information.
If it doesn't find the file: Click Browse and look for a file ending in .tax2024 (usually located in Documents > TurboTax).
Once transferred, your personal info and 2024 "Prior Year" columns in the Detailed Summary will be populated automatically.
