2 T4 slip with same employer but 2 different business number. One earning is $24 K other one is $10k. They only dedcuted federal tax on my $24k. now I owe CRA? Help pls!

Here's my situation. Hope you can help me.

Total salary: $34 K

First T4: $24 K   Second T4: $10 K

I'm working under the same employer but 2 different department. Payroll is separate. I get more hours than the other dept. I talked to my employer about it and she said I don't have to worry about paying anything because they're deducting what is needed. Now I'm surprised I owe CRA $2K ?!!! I noticed on my 2nd T4 ($10k) they only deducted $ 78.50. Was it supposed to be more than that? The other T4 i have is fine. My understanding now is it looks like I worked 2 different jobs and my employer was not deducting much on the other department. Please enlighten me....

It looks to me that you are absolutely correct.  Your employer did not take enough deductions off.  You will have to pay the additional tax.
