My 17yr old daughter earned $8500 in 2018. She is not filing a tax return. Do I have to claim the amount she earned on my tax return? If yes,is there any way to avoid it?

Yes, if you are claiming your daughter as a dependant on your income tax return, you do need to indicate her income.  There isn't a way to avoid doing this.
