Before I begin, we have TurboTax Premier for the desktop.
My wife and I have a joint T5 and joint T5008 this year. This earlier post states that "With TurboTax, entering a T5 that is shared between spouses is easy – you only have to enter the T5 once. If you are going to be the partner who takes care of the T5, simply enter the percentage that will be claimed by a spouse on your tax return.
If you and your spouse are preparing tax returns together, TurboTax will automatically transfer the percentage each partner’s claim onto both partners’ returns."
We did this. I entered the data into my T5 and my T5008 both indicating 50% for my amount and 50% for my spouse. However, TurboTax did not transfer this information to my spouse's T5 and T5008. Those forms are still blank. Why is that?
Thanks in advance for your help!
It's not going to duplicate the slips on the spouse's side. It will add them to the necessary forms like the T1 & Schedule 3. Check the Detailed tax summary (DSUM in Forms Mode).
