Our primary address in Alberta which we have been using on our tax return has now been rented out. We have a temporary address in Alberta and also a temporary address in British Columbia that we spend time at. What address should we be filing under? We are not certain that our primary address will continue to be rented out and possibly we will move back?
The CRA will send any mail they need to send you to the address that you enter, so you’ll need to put whichever you would prefer to get your mail at.
If you haven't already updated the CRA with your current address, you need to do so before you can NETFILE. You can update your info through the CRA’s My Account service or by calling them at 1-800-959-8281.
