@shahidkhan69 The codes for TurboTax Desktop will not work with TurboTax Online & vice-versa. If you bought the wrong version, you can get a refund and then buy the one you need.
If you bought TurboTax Desktop from a 3rd party retailer (ex: Costco, Staples, Walmart), please use this form to get a refund
If you have purchased a wrong version of TurboTax you can submit an online Refund Request and purchase a correct version directly from TurboTax website.
I used the online full service version last tax year for 2023 and I was trying to sign in and do it myself this year for the 2024 tax year but it will only go to the full service version.
@lundbreckfalls If you don't want to use Full Service this year, you'll need to start a new return, and click the "Create A Different Return" button. That will let you choose a different version of TurboTax Online to use.
I changed to the Deluxe Online Edition from the Desktop Standard previously used (new computer too).
I cannot seem to find where to enter the activation code. TurboTax wants me to select a payment method but I've already purchased it.
@GinaP53 Since tax year 2020, there is a difference between a License Code (for Desktop) and an Activation Code (for Online).
You cannot use the Online activation code for the Desktop version and vice versa.

Make sure to add a clear photo of your receipt, showing the name of the store, the date, the product bought, and the price paid.
