Open TurboTax
The new 'DRAFT' watermark across the entire page of the tax return preparation is super annoying and when I scroll all I see is this 'DRAFT' watermark cutting through the forms and line items.
How can you consistently downgrade and reduce the usability of the product year after year?
The watermark will be removed once the forms have been finalized by the CRA. Your feedback has been noted, and I will forward it to the appropriate department.
Thanks for choosing TurboTax.
What's the point of having this annoying eyesore distraction DRAFT, when we know that even after a CRA approval at any given time, it is and there is a Turbotax pop-up message upon saving that the software is subject to update right up until the last minute of time
The watermark DRAFT will remain until the Netfile opens and the forms are finalized. We have taken note of your feedback and will forward it to the appropriate department.
Thank you for choosing TurboTax.
This is one of the most useless and annoying 'improvements' that turbotax has ever made. I wonder how long it took to think this up and how much the person who did it earned!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any idea when the DRAFT WATERMARK will be removed from the Tax page
Your answer to when this watermark will go away repeats the line: “when all forms have been finalized by the CRA”. What does this mean specifically? I have filed with NETFILE with family member. The CRA has accepted this filing. Yet, we still have this (nannying) “DUPLICATE” watermark across the saved PDF file (when we 1) save it as pdf using your button, or 2) print it to PDF by selecting your print button along with selecting ‘to PDF’ as the printer).
I would love to hear an honest answer from Intuit as to whether this degrading of functionality is being pursued to:
a) protect against users suing by sending in forms they were not meant to send in - for which the numerous terms of agreement should already offer protection to Intuit;
b) a block on use/save/filers - for whom a return count could simply be (is already being?) added by the act of saving a pdf (rendering this unnecessary);
c) a move to eventually channel desktop users to online subscriptions - assuming online subscriptions do not have this problem (can you confirm if this is just for desktop subscriptions?); or
d) a move to make these reports less useful to related family-members and their possible filing outside of Intuit, adding incentive to pull them into the Intuit orbit.
I really don’t know, but would say that “a” and “b” are unlikely and “d” might be low volume and niche. Regardless, I don’t normally respond to these product feedback forums, but thought it important to provide my marketing feedback in the hope for improvement that I don’t see the printout de-watermarking as you have repeatedly stated, and that I find it a strongly negative user experience, which without remediation would drive me to search out other products. I am from a decades-using family of Intuit tax products who has for some years had to go for external help by complexity of returns (for which I could offer much feedback) and have returned myself after years, to help new family members continue using. This feature is disappointing.
