Do I need to create a new return for a deceased person or can I transfer last years return?
Yes, you can transfer their 2022 return.
Please note that TurboTax Online doesn't have the form needed for the sale of a principal residence by a deceased person. If you need that form, you will need to use TurboTax CD/Download, and won't be able to transfer in a TurboTax Online return.
