How do I transfer the tax slips directly from the CRA site, CRA now restricts it?

You can import certain slips and other info from the Canada Revenue Agency directly into your TurboTax return using the Auto-fill my return service. To use Auto-fill, you need full access to CRA My Account.

Not all slips and info are available when Auto-fill my return opens for the tax season. The dates that the slips are due from your slip provider vary by slip type. Once the CRA receives the slips from your provider, it can take a few days for your info to appear in your CRA My Account.

To use the CRA's Auto-fill my Return service in TurboTax Online:

  1. Select Find (or the magnifying glass icon) from the TurboTax menu
  2. In the Find window, enter Auto-fill
  3. From the list of search results, select Auto-fill My Return, then select Go
  4. On the Automatically fill in part of your return step, select Continue
  5. On the Let’s import your info step, select Sign in to CRA
  6. Follow the steps to download your slips and other information
