How to input car expense when in rental property section when owning 50% of both multiple rental properties and car with spouse.
If you are entering vehicle expenses under your rental - If you have more than one motor vehicle to claim, each vehicle should be entered separately. Click “Enter Vehicle Expenses” to enter a vehicle that hasn’t been entered previously.
If you only used the one vehicle then you can choose who will claim it. Since you need to enter the KM's used, the gas, insurance, repairs and such.
Make sure you keep the receipts of all expenses claimed.
