I sold my principle residence in August 2022. Why is it show sold in 2023?

How do I correct date of sale of principle residence.

Did you just enter the 2022 sale of your residence in your 2023 return?  If this is so, the sale needs to be removed from this year's tax return and adjusted to the 2022 return which is when you sold it.
