Interest Income That Is Federally Taxable But Exempt From CA Tax

Does anyone know how to get Turbo Tax to exclude interest income on taxable munis that are exempt from CA state tax?  Box 1 of 1099-INT gives that option for several states (ME, MD, MA, NH, NJ, TN, WV) but not for CA or others.  The same question applies to interest from certain government agencies (e.g., FFCB, TVA) that are Federally taxable but exempt from state tax ... but are not generally shown in Box 3 on the 1099-INT form.

Interested in U.S. taxation, not Canadian.  Know the proper U.S. tax treatment just not how to get it reflected on TurboTax forms.
