Hi, I studied in the US for my masters through a student loan then moved to Canada in 2017. Can I make a claim on interest paid in the US in my Canadian tax return?
As per our TurboTax article Filing Taxes When You Study Abroad "if you take out additional student loans from foreign institutions, you will not be able to deduct their interest on your future tax returns."
