How do I report sale of a residence which was a a secondary home from 2007 through 2015, and then principal residence from 2015 to 2023 when I sold it?
When you fill out the Principal Residence it will ask you how many years it was your Principal Residence and then calculate any capital gain if it wasn't your Principal Residence for the whole time.
