My Father in-law died 2024.
TurboTax is claiming the $4000 senior assistance tax credit (Quebec) for Him and I assume my Mother in-law. His marital status remains married.
TurboTax is claiming $2000 senior assistance tax credit (Quebec) for my Mother in-law.
Her marital status is widowed.
TurboTax said the taxes had to be completed separately.
Both over seventy.
How to correct this?

Yes that worked thank you. It has to be done in the form method. I do not think it is the best way as it should be an option in the easy step method.
I had posted about this tax credit as well. I saw it pop up for my parents but am nervous about claiming it as it is a large amount
But aside from both being citizens, they are both born here. Is the only other requirement they are both over 70?
I would just like to be sure before I file.
