T4 CPP automatically prepopulates Releve 1 box B1

Hello,

Your software prepopulates box B1 of releve 1 when I enter amount in Box 16 for T4. This shouldnt happen since it looks like I paid double CPP for same year. I cannot overwrite amount

This is not an error, this is part of the enhanced CPP/QPP to employment and self-employment income.

No, what Im saying is that it takes the amount of CPP I paid for the year. In this case 2,748$ which was the maximum and then it puts it under line 492. Stating that I have contributed more than I should by 2,748$. Its basically creates an overpaymemt of CPP which is then deducted. But its not true

Hello, would it be possible to have an answer for my last question? Your system is calculating whatever amount I put in CPP contribution ( amount from my T4 box 16) for the year in box B1 ( this box is for amount overpaid in CPP) of the Quebec T1 Report. This means that it report’s it has an overpayment of CPP for the year, which is not true.
