If you are an employee and you have a T2200 Declaration of Conditions of Employment from your employer, you may be able to claim some of those expenses. The T2200 will say what your employer required you to buy for your work. However, you can’t claim anything you were reimbursed for, though you can claim the difference if the reimbursement didn’t cover the full costs.
Uniforms, and daily commuting expenses such as parking at your work place can’t be deducted as expenses.

If you are self-employed, you can claim your expenses on the T2125 Statement of Business or Professional Activities. You can do this in TurboTax by clicking on the “Find” icon in the top right and search for “Self”. Select “Self-Employment” and then click the “Go” button.
