I'm filing as a non-resident since I lived outside Canada for all of 2023 (non-Canadian citizen). I was doing contract work for a Canadian company (self-employed) while living abroad in Europe. I can't put a foreign address for the business residence in TurboTax Online so I know if I want to put a foreign address I'll have to print it out and write that manually. My question is - does it not matter what province the company I worked for is located in? I'm not filing provincial taxes since I was a non-resident for the whole year. It just seems odd to not mention this was a Manitoba company anywhere in my filing.
Your self-employment location was where ever you were. The company that you were working for may have been in Manitoba, but you yourself were not in Manitoba.
As a non-resident, you will need to either print & mail your return or fax it, so you can just enter the correct address on the printout.
